My work focuses on the establishment of innovative best management practices for nutrient remediation in the Mississippi Alluvial Valley. I’ll be investigating how weirs have the capacity to create/alter agricultural drainage ditches, as in comparison to the environment of these systems with no weirs. Assessments will focus on how altering the natural hydrology of these systems influences biogeochemical conditions and biotic organisms. Additionally, I’d like to analyze how variations in physical and chemical parameters influence the behavior of pesticides in these systems and how they impact biota.

My interests are in water sustainability, agriculture resource efficiency, and pollutant remediation. When I’m not working I try to relax as much as possible, which usually involves sleeping, working out, and spending time with family and friends.
